Claude setup.
I set Claude up on your Mac, on your own account, around the work your business does every week. Then I stay on the call until you have used it for something real.
Most people who write to me about Claude have already paid for it. They have the app, they have asked it a few things, and it still is not part of how the business runs. What usually holds it back is the setup around it. What it knows about your business before you type anything. Which of your tools it can reach. What it is allowed to do on its own, and what it has to check with you first.
None of that is hard once someone has done it a few times. It is just a lot of small decisions, and the product changes every few weeks.
Where this comes from
I run an agency and build my own software, and Claude is in most of it: the agency’s site and admin, Tarly, which the team works in every day, and Brassdeck. I also wrote the guide to using Claude with Safari that a lot of Mac users land on.
Some of what I know I learned the expensive way. On 13 September every site I run went dark at once because of a query I had never measured, which I wrote up in What vibe coding leaves out. That is a large part of what I bring to a setup. The careful bits come from having paid for skipping them.
What you get
- One hour on your Mac, $149. We share your screen and you drive. By the end Claude is installed and signed in on your account, it has a Project that knows what your business is and how you write, it is connected to the one or two tools you use most, and it asks before it sends or changes anything. I send a short note afterwards with what we switched on and two things to try that week.
- Claude for your business, $590. Two weeks. We pick three or four jobs you do every week, I set Claude up for each of them, and you use it for a week. Then we meet again and fix what did not work. You end up with a one-page note in plain English: what Claude can reach, what it has to ask you about, and what it does not touch. For a team, this is also where we decide between separate accounts and a team plan.
- Monthly upkeep, $149 a month. For anyone who has done one of the two above. One call a month, questions answered in between, and your setup kept current when Anthropic changes things, which is often.
My fee is for my time. What you pay Anthropic for Claude is separate and goes on your own card.
How it works
You send me a message with what the business does and the one job you would most like off your plate. I send back a short form and tell you which of the three fits. Sometimes the honest answer is Anthropic’s free course, and if so I will say that.
Before we start you buy the Claude plan yourself, in your own name. Everything I set up lives in your account, and you can see all of it.
On the call you share your screen and do the signing in. I tell you where to click and why. I never ask for your password, and I never sign in to your account myself.
Who this is not for
Anyone who wants Claude making payroll, lending, hiring, legal or medical calls without a qualified person checking the result. I will not wire it into those, and I would be wary of anyone who will.
It is also not much use if you have not bought a plan yet and are still deciding whether AI is for you at all. Anthropic’s own free material answers that question well, and it costs nothing.
What I will not promise
A number of hours saved. I do not know your week yet, and anyone quoting you a figure before they have seen it is guessing.
That everything will work the same next month. Claude changes often: since August it has gained its own browser and merged two of its main modes into one. Keeping up with that is what the monthly upkeep is for.
That it will be right every time. It writes well and it reads fast, and it still makes mistakes. Anything that goes to a customer, touches money, or carries legal or medical weight gets checked by a person before it goes anywhere. I set it up that way.
Questions
Do I need to be technical? No. If you can share your screen on a video call, that is enough. If you want to go further and build small tools of your own with Claude Code, we can do that too, and it starts the same way.
Do you need my Claude login? No. The account is yours: your name, your card, your login. You sign in on your own screen while we talk. Anthropic’s terms say an account should not be shared, and keeping it with you is the right way round anyway. If your team wants me working inside your workspace later, your admin adds me as a member.
Which plan should I buy? A paid plan in your own name. For most people starting out that is Pro. After the intake I will tell you if anything bigger is worth it. Usually the advice is to wait until you actually hit the limits.
I use Safari. Do I have to switch? No. Claude now has its own browser inside the desktop app for the jobs where it needs to click and type on a website, and for reading pages Safari works fine. Chrome comes in only for jobs that need your own logged-in sessions. On the call we sort out which of your jobs need which, and most people keep Safari for everything else.
Is my business data safe with it? You decide what it can reach, and we decide it together on the call. I set it to ask before it sends, deletes or buys anything, we choose your privacy setting on purpose, and folders with things like payroll or ID documents stay out. I will also show you what a hostile file or web page trying to give Claude instructions looks like, because that is the risk worth knowing about. No setup makes it risk-free, and I would be wary of anyone who says theirs does.
Talking about it
Message me on WhatsApp or email hello@scalewiseva.com with what your business does and the job you would most like to hand over. I will tell you which option fits, or whether you need one at all.
