AlwazTahir.

I run the unglamorous half of ecommerce. Orders, inboxes, listings, ads. It happens to be the half that decides whether a store survives.

Thirty stores so far, a team of ten in Islamabad, and the software we run them on.

A bit about me

I got into this at 18, at my brother's recruitment agency. What stuck with me wasn't the recruiting. It was watching a company get built out of processes rather than luck. Someone writes down how a thing is done, and then it keeps happening whether or not anyone remembers.

In 2025 I started ScaleWise VA with no clients and that one idea. Today it's a small team in Islamabad, and most of what we do is the work a founder stops being able to do themselves somewhere around the fiftieth order a week. Nobody posts about it. It is still the thing that decides whether the store is still trading in two years.

My brother Arhum ran his own agency alongside mine. In 2026 the two came together and he is now a partner in ScaleWiseVA LLC, which is registered in Wyoming and works out of Kickstart in I-10, Islamabad.

I'm finishing a degree in Business Analytics while I do it. Most weeks that means the store work happens first and the coursework happens late.

Since 2025

ScaleWise VA

A Shopify operations and growth agency. Store management, customer support, ads, development. Small and growing brands, mostly. The ones that need someone to actually run the thing.

Things I've built

Tarly

Live

A VA management platform. Time tracking, screenshots, activity, clients, invoices, a knowledge base. I built it because nothing off the shelf fitted how the team actually works. Ten people use it every day.

Brassdeck

Live

A canvas for everything I'm running at once. Every tracker I tried turned a good month into a list of things I owed, so this one counts only what is actually moving and leaves the rest alone. Stopping something is a decision it records, not a failure it keeps reminding you about. It was mine for months. Anyone can start one now.

Tock

Live

A two-factor authenticator that lives in the Mac menu bar. The free ones were ad-supported, abandoned, or wanted an account before they would show me my own codes, so I wrote one that does none of that. Secrets stay in the Keychain, nothing leaves the machine, and it imports straight from Google Authenticator. Free, source public.

VoltKeep

Early

Stops an Apple Silicon Mac charging before it reaches 100%, at whatever level you pick. Cells held at full age faster, and macOS only offers fixed limits. I traced the SMC keys that do the work and confirmed it on my own M4 Pro. That is the one machine it has been proven on so far, which is why the tag says early and not live.

SWAPIT

In development

An AI automation platform for Shopify operations. The manual work we do by hand now, done by something else. Not finished, not sold, no waitlist theatre. It'll be here when it's real.

Checkout Rules and Bulkrail

In development

Two Shopify apps, chosen by scanning the whole App Store rather than by hunch. Checkout Rules hides, renames and reorders payment and delivery options, and blocks a checkout that breaks an order limit. Bulkrail does quantity breaks and bundle discounts on a Shopify Function. Neither is listed yet. When they are, you'll read it here first.

Questions

Who is Alwaz Tahir?

Alwaz Tahir is the founder of ScaleWise VA, a Shopify operations and growth agency based in Islamabad, Pakistan. He started the agency in 2025 and it now runs day-to-day operations for ecommerce stores worldwide with a small team based in Islamabad. He is a Pinterest Certified Media Buyer and also builds the software his team uses, including Tarly.

What does ScaleWise VA do?

ScaleWise VA handles the day-to-day operations of Shopify stores: order processing, customer support across email and chat, product listings and optimisation, paid media on Pinterest, Google, Meta and TikTok, conversion rate work, and Shopify development. Clients typically hand over one area first rather than everything at once.

What kind of stores does Alwaz Tahir work with?

Small and growing Shopify brands, generally founder-led, in fashion, beauty, jewellery, home goods and sportswear. Named clients include Rera Jewels, Studio Neutral, Funktion Active, Tiger Mode, Driftwood Atelier and Endurance Lab. The work suits stores where the founder is still the person doing operations and wants that time back.

Is ScaleWise VA a real registered company?

Yes. ScaleWise VA operates as ScaleWiseVA LLC, registered in Wyoming, USA, with two partners. The team works from Kickstart in I-10, Islamabad. Client reviews are hosted on Fiverr and Upwork rather than only on its own website, so they can be checked independently.

How can I verify the reviews?

Every review is hosted on a third-party platform. ScaleWise VA holds a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 17 verified reviews on Fiverr with Level 2 Seller status, and 5.0 from 2 reviews on Upwork. Both profiles are public and linked from scalewiseva.com/reviews, so the ratings can be confirmed without relying on the website.

How do you start working with Alwaz Tahir?

Message him on WhatsApp or email hello@scalewiseva.com describing what the store needs. The usual first step is a free 30-minute call to scope the work. Most clients begin with a single area, such as customer support or order management, rather than handing over the whole operation immediately.
